A couple of days before xmas and I am writing this before me and my girlfriend is heading up north to spend the coming holidays outside the big city. The regular calls to Antidote will have to take a break of a week and a half, as will I from most scene-activities. It will do me good though, it has been a lot to do the past month since coming home from my two months on the road in Europe. Not only taking care of a puppy and preparing a move up to Umea for medschool, but scenewise: Wrapping this issue up and getting things going with the new Vandalism News staff. Playing around with different musiceditors, trying my very first attempts to create sound. Doing an xmas-demo together with Zzap69 and Jucke. Hectic, but fun.

It is now ten years since I first got contact with The Vengeance whom just was about to launch Onslaught. A white parcel with that handwriting I was to become used to, followed by phonecalls and conferences. Boards and the rest. In a way I guess my move to make it back into the scene and where I am now shows that I've made a full lap in the circle. And through it I have evolved, as have the scene. In a way it is all about being around these days, the scene does not demand much. Instead the creativity of each individual artist forces, in a positive way, everyone to take place and do their share. Whatever that may be, the sum of it all seems to be more when put together.

There is a growing interest, a lot of people are aware. And as long as people are aware, sometimes more and sometimes less, some will become attracted to the scene in which we present our productions. We have another life these days and it is no longer about us adapting, it is about having a good laugh on our conditions. The way it goes now the scene is going to rock for years to come.

Killing my part of the preface here and hoping that everyone has had good holidays when this will reach you. Prepare yourself for the year of the Commodore 64, 2005 ;-). Handing over the keys to a former partner in crime whom now also has made his circular move and teamed up with the staff. It sure is nice to have you aboard, Duke!
